Students are encouraged to participate in school-sponsored
interscholastic athletic programs and other organized activities. These programs
are under the supervision of the Principal, who is responsible for final
decisions. All participants are expected to meet their obligations in academics,
attendance, personal behavior, conduct, appearance, and all other school
regulations.
An academic grade of C- or lower and a 3 in effort or conduct may result in
the athlete being taken off the team for a period of two weeks. Failing a major
subject is grounds for removal of the student from the team, at the Principal’s
discretion. If an athlete is absent from school on the day of a game or
practice, the child may not participate in that day’s activity. Two detentions
in a quarter qualifies for removal from a team. All players, coaches, and
parents must exemplify appropriate behavior and good sportsmanship during games
and practices.
